A escota para regata consiste em um trançado de dyneema SK75 com um nylon especial. Esta combinação oferece a escota uma excelente resistência à abrasão, baixo estiramento e excelente "pegada" (grip), mesmo com o cabo molhado. A escota de regata não absorve água.
